Which Card Should I Use?

Add your cards, pick a spending category, and see which earns the most.

How it works

  1. 1
Add your cards. Search for the credit cards in your wallet from Chase, American Express, Capital One, Citi, Discover, and other issuers.
  2. 2
Pick a category. Choose where you are spending, such as groceries, dining, travel, gas, streaming, pharmacy, utilities, or entertainment.
  3. 3
See ranked results. We rank your cards by reward rate for that category and recommend a top alternative if you don't have one optimized for it.

Frequently asked questions

How does it work?
Add the credit cards you already own, then pick a spending category like groceries, dining, travel, or gas. We rank your cards by how many rewards each one earns in that category, so you know which card to use at the register.
Which cards are supported?
Most major U.S. consumer and business credit cards are supported, including cards from Chase, American Express, Capital One, Citi, Discover, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and U.S. Bank. Search by card name in the My Cards tab to add yours.
Do I need an account?
No. Your wallet is saved in your browser so you can use the tool without signing up. Creating a free account lets you save your wallet and access it from any device.
How are rewards calculated?
We compare each card's published earning rate for the selected category, such as cash back on dining or points on travel, and rank the cards by rate. When a card has no category bonus, we use its default earning rate.
Are sign-up bonuses included in the ranking?
No. Rankings reflect ongoing earning rates on everyday spend, not one-time welcome offers. To compare current sign-up bonuses, see our credit card comparison pages.
