Simplicity is Citi's no-late-fee, no-penalty-APR card with a long 0% APR window on balance transfers and a shorter window on purchases. No annual fee, no rewards.

The no-late-fee feature is genuinely unusual — most cards charge a meaningful fee for a missed payment. That alone makes Simplicity a defensible safety-net card for people who have a history of occasional missed payments. The 0% transfer window matches the Diamond Preferred for one of the longest available, with a similar intro transfer fee. If you're primarily looking at a balance transfer and want extra protection against late-payment penalties, Simplicity beats Diamond Preferred; if you want longer purchase protection and don't worry about late fees, BankAmericard's longer purchase 0% window wins.

  • 0% Intro APR on balance transfers for 21 months and on purchases for 12 months from date of account opening. After that the variable APR will be 17.49% - 28.24%, based on your creditworthiness. Balance transfers must be completed within 4 months of account opening.
  • There is an intro balance transfer fee of 3% of each transfer (minimum $5) completed within the first 4 months of account opening. After that, your fee will be 5% of each transfer (minimum $5).
