QuicksilverOne is the fee-bearing version of the Quicksilver for average, fair, or limited credit: an annual fee, the same flat cash-back rate, automatic credit-line review after six months, no foreign transaction fees, no welcome bonus.

The annual fee changes the math meaningfully. To break even on the fee alone, you need a reasonable amount of annual card spend. Above that, you're earning real rewards. Below, you'd net more from the fee-free Capital One Platinum (no rewards, but no fee either). The QuicksilverOne is the right pick when you spend enough to clear the fee and you value Capital One's clear graduation path to the no-fee Quicksilver after a year or so of clean history. If you're closer to the fair end of fair credit, the Platinum is the safer starting point.
