The Business Green is Amex's entry-level Membership Rewards business card — an annual fee, a flat baseline earn rate on everything, no bonus categories. It exists primarily to gate small businesses into the Membership Rewards ecosystem at a fee that's lower than the Gold or Platinum business cards.
As a daily-driver business card, it's hard to recommend. The Blue Business Plus earns a bonus rate up to a meaningful annual cap with no annual fee — same point currency, better earn rate. There's no scenario where this card's fee earns its way back through the flat baseline on purchases. The case for Green is narrow: you specifically need the Pay Over Time flexibility, or you're building an Amex card portfolio and treating this as a Membership Rewards anchor. Otherwise, the Blue Business Plus is the right starting point.
