The student version is identical on terms — same long 0% APR window on purchases and balance transfers, same transfer fee, no annual fee, no rewards. The unusual element here is offering a balance-transfer card to students, since most students aren't carrying meaningful card balances yet.
What this card actually does well for students is the long 0% purchase window. A college student making a large purchase early in the school year (textbooks, a laptop, a flight home) can spread the cost across nearly two billing years without interest, which a no-rewards starter card with a short 0% intro period can't match. Not a rewards card, not a long-term keeper — but a legitimate tool for managing a big planned expense early in a student's credit life.
